About Remi
Remi is a big, goofy, 6–7-year-old rescue from Georgia. She was around 1-2 years old when I took her home or so the rescue said. Her breed is unknown, but what is known is that she is the best dog I could have ever dreamed of.
The ruff early days
Remi had a hard time adjusting to household life. It took her awhile to conquer hard wood floors and doorways. Don't even get me started on the training. Many nights I spent contemplating if I or she was capable of training. The first day she sat on command was a boisterous celebration. Followed up by playing a game of chase (I wasn't playing) in the woods off leash for an hour, which I dropped and lost my phone unknowingly during the capture of her.
Current Remi
Remi now has grown into quite the personality. From her air chomps when she gets excited to her big goofy stomps when she gets excited, hiking will always be her one of her best personality traits. We have conquered more than our fair share of mountains. And every new hike you'd think she's been locked in the house for a year, even if she just went on a hike yesterday.
The goal
My (and Remi's) goal is to travel and hike. Whether that be in our 150-mile away backyard of the White mountains or across the country living out of a car. Hopefully, with our hiking prowess and her photogenic abilities we can make that dream become a reality.
